Sallie McCowan
Sallie Frances McCowan, 88, of Little Rock, passed away March 13, 2013. She was born July 20, 1924 in Enid, Oklahoma to Uel W. and Sarah Munger Combs. Sallie loved the beauty of the mountains, mesas and deserts of Colorado and the white beaches of Florida.
Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul Combs and Uel W. Combs, Jr., she is survived by her husband, Dr. James R. McCowan; son, Robert "Bob" McCowan (Linda); daughters, Kathy Balkman (Mac) and Debby McCowan (Ron); and granddaughter, Kara Davis (Kevin). She is also survived by brothers, Leon Combs and Marvin Combs and sister, Shelia Archeleta. Sallie will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
Services will be Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, 6400 Richard B. Hardie Dr., Little Rock. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private family burial will follow the service.
