Sandra Ruth Boles

Sandra Ruth Boles, 85, of Sherwood, went quietly to be with the Lord on February 2, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born October 21, 1940, in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Heartsill R.Moore and Virginia Moore. She was a resident of Sherwood and a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church.

Sandra lived a life full of love, faith, and family. Growing up, Sandra was a sweet kid who enjoyed playing basketball and cheering at Dardanelle high.

Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family. Of all her roles, her most treasured was being “Gran” or “Granny” to her grandchildren, whom she loved with her whole heart. She found joy in the simple things, especially cooking and hosting family gatherings where she could prepare meals for everyone. Sandra had a special love for baking and was always sure to send guests home with something sweet—often her beloved snickerdoodle cookies or her famous pumpkin roll.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 43 years, John Gorden Boles, brothers; Danny Moore and Ragan Moore, sister; Cathy Patton.

Sandra is survived by her sons; Mike (Melanie) Allen, Steven Allen, Chad(Haley) Allen, John G. Boles II, Steve (Becky) Boles, Ron (Julie) Boles, Mike (Nichole) Boles, and David (Samira) Boles, a special sister-in-law; Sylvia Hays, Brothers; Gary Moore and Barry Moore and sister; Cece Tuttle and Louise Fox, along with 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church of Sherwood.

Visitation hour will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes of Sherwood at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas, on Friday, February 20th,  from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a service to immediately follow.
