Sarah Isabel Alvarez

Listen to Obituary

Sarah Isabel Alvarez was our beautiful girl–a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who gave her whole self to everything she did.

She was born December 2, 2002, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was baptized into the Body of Christ on August 3, 2003, in Guerrero, Mexico. Sarah attended Christ the King Catholic School and Mount St. Mary Academy, later graduating from the University of Central Arkansas in the spring of 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship.

One of her greatest dreams was to travel the world and write books. She worked tirelessly to make that dream a reality, often holding multiple jobs at once. Her work ethic and determination were qualities any employer would’ve admired. Sarah possessed a sharp intellect and a big heart–traits evident from an early age. She never shied from speaking her mind and and loved engaging in spirited debates with anyone willing to match her wit and curiosity.

Her bright eyes, lively curiosity, and bubbly personality inspired everyone to adventure with her, especially her siblings and friends. Sarah was a generous giver of her time, talents, and whatever treasures she had. She had the soul of a poet and the mind of a philosopher, always finding beauty in life’s little details. ‘Sarahí’ was brave, passionate, and unforgettable.

Sarah loved learning and reading. You could always find her with a book in hand–whether it was horror, mystery, Kafka’s absurdist fiction, or a hidden gem from a niche bookstore. She loved her family and friends, adored her cat (Milo-Poe), and found joy in coffee, Star Wars, good music, and dancing.

Sarah’s life was tragically cut short on the night of November 15th, 2025, after being involved in a car accident as a passenger, leaving behind a world of hopes and dreams. She is survived by her parents, Juan and Alejandra; her siblings, Mayra, Karla, Monica, and Pedro; her brothers-in-law, Jorge and Shane; and her little nephews and niece, Jorge, Sofia, Oliver, and Johan.

We will miss her deeply and love her for ever. May she rest in the peace of Christ, her Lord.

On Monday, November 24, 2025, visitation will be held at 2:00 PM with a Rosary following at 3:30 PM at St. Edward Catholic Church (801 Sherman Street). Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 4:00 PM.

Sarah amaba aprender y leer.
