Sarah Elaine Tindle, 84, of Cabot, Arkansas, was born on April 15, 1941, in Gilbertown, Alabama and went to be with her Lord on May 29, 2025.
She and her lifelong sweetheart began dating when she was only 15 years old and she became a devoted military wife as the USAF allowed them to travel the world together. For 20 years she worked as a CNA at Fort Roots Veterans Hospital in North Little Rock and took great pride in the care she gave to numerous veterans.
Her retirement allowed her to focus on her passion of gardening, collecting butterflies, raising goats, Sheltie dogs, and spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids. Her family loved her spunky, hard-working nature and were greatly blessed by her amazing cooking skills and holiday traditions. She was a long-time member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Curtis Perry and Laura Jenkins, siblings Alma Roberts, Clara Belle Kelley, Heyward Jenkins, and JW Jenkins, and son-in-law, Glen Milholland.
She is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, Merrell (Mel) Liston Tindle of Cabot; children Kevin Tindle, Kerry Tindle and Laurie Milholland; grandchildren Jason Tindle (Stacey), Jenni Tindle, Kyler Tindle, Dustin (Danica) Milholland, Jeffrey (Kyla) Milholland, and Sarah (Justin) Welborn; great-grandchildren Olivia Blaylock, Averi Tindle, Ethan Middleton, Liam, Ethan, Owen and Ella Ezell, Mia Milholland, Britlyn and Evan Wilson, Charlee Milholland, and Micah and Lanie Welborn; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, June 2 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm at Union Valley Baptist Church, 932 US-Hwy 64 in Beebe. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 3 at 10:00 am at the same location. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock on Wednesday, June 4 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Union Valley Baptist Church Building Project. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas. www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook
