Saundra Houck

I am still here at the time of writing this telling everyone goodbye.  Now that you are reading this I am looking at amazing colors and smelling amazing things.  I have entered into the eternal presence of Jesus.

Family, friends, I love you all equally, agape love.  It’s hard to say goodbye to each individual child/grandchild that I love equally. You are all deeply adored.

Hold no hurts or grudges, shed few tears and be kind to one another.  I am never far away.

Saundra lived her life with a true robust love for Jesus and everyone she met.  A moment was never wasted. She loved her church where she has been a member for greater than 20 years. Anytime Saundra was asked to serve she was quick to say “sure, I can do that”!

She is survived by her son, Joey Wood and daughter-in-law Michelle Wood of Little Rock; and daughter, Kelli Lomazoff and son-in-law Michael Lomazoff of Richmond TX.  She also has a step-daughter, Tiffany Densford and son- in-law Brent Densford of Myrtle Beach South Carolina; and a man she loved dearly who brought great joy the last few months of her life, Larry Wallace Sr.  She is also survived by six grandchildren; her sister, Donna Bennett and brother-in-law Wayne Bennett of Jacksonville AR; as well as many, many friends and one rotten fur baby, Jumper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel Ford Shelton and Alice Fern Shelton of Harrison AR; as well as her late husband, Jeffry Houck of Benton AR.

She was loved by many many people including 2 dear friends, Wanda Bartlett and Alicia Ray.  Saundra will be missed dearly but our comfort is that we know we will see her again!

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 AM, Saturday, November 7, at New Life Baptist Church, 10765 Samples Road, Alexander, Arkansas 72002.  Funeral service, officiated by Bro. John Venable, will follow at 10:45 AM.
