Scott Lauderdale

Scott Lauderdale, born on November 1, 1971, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, left this world November 16, 2024, but not without leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. A devoted husband, proud father, and spirited brother, lived his life with a vibrant laughter that echoed well beyond the walls of his home.

His career was as ambitious and varied as his personality, with Scott once working for every major cellphone company as a customer service representative. Yet, it was not just the job that defined him; it was the moments in between—the laughter shared during work hours, the friendships formed along the way, and his knack for pulling off delightful pranks that endeared him to his coworkers and made the mundane seem magical.

Scott's true passion revealed itself in the quiet corners of creativity. He found joy in building and painting Warhammer 40K miniatures, where each tiny figure quietly reflected his larger-than-life personality. Beyond the world of miniature warfare, he savored culinary adventures, often devouring three cheese enchiladas smothered in cheese sauce at Casa Mexicana, his favorite restaurant. His love for adventure extended to camping, although notorious for his mishaps—particularly his infamous encounter with a gas pump that wreaked havoc on a rented camper. Yet even these stories brought laughter, as did the best camping trip ever to the Damn Site camping area spot D-22 in Heber Springs in the cold month of February.

At the center of Scott's universe were his beloved family members. His wife, of 28 years, Angela Lauderdale, was his partner in crime and the constant source of affectionate banter. Scott, with his mischievous spirit, delighted in teasing her in ways only he could, often waving the end of his missing limb with a grin that could disarm even the toughest of hearts. Together they navigated life, raising their four treasured children: William "Scotty," Evonne, Jacye, and Jacob, whose personalities undoubtedly reflect their father's tenacious spirit and stubborn charm. He adored his children fiercely, seeing them as his proudest accomplishment, reveling in the idea of family that he helped shape.

Scott's humor extended beyond his immediate family. His antics, rooted in a genuine desire to see others smile, created a warmth that enveloped friends and strangers alike. Always the prankster, his infectious laughter lit up every room and will forever remain etched in the memories of those who were lucky enough to share time with him.

In addition to his immediate family, Scott is remembered by his sister, Reba Whalen. His in-laws, Pat Holland and Tom McDonald. His legacy continues in the gentle spirit of Allie, his devoted wiener dog, who stood as silent witness to his many shenanigans over the twelve joyful years they spent together.

Though he has been reunited with those who have passed before him, including his mother, Dalene Lauderdale, father, Bill Lauderdale, grandparents, Bertha and Elwood Sellens, In-laws, Jason McDonald, Bill Holland, and Brenda McDonald. Scott's vibrant memory will linger on in the stories, the laughter, and the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Scott on November 23, 2024, at 2:30pm, at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church in Sherwood, Arkansas, where family and friends will gather to share laughter, stories, and the enduring spirit of a man whose love for life rendered him unforgettable. From his pranks to his hobbies, Scott Lauderdale was a unique soul whose impact will resonate for generations to come.
