Scott Edward Phillips

SCOTT EDWARD PHILLIPS June 2, 1970 – April 2, 2026 Scott Edward Phillips, age 55, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on April 2, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Scott was born on June 2, 1970, in Rochester, New York, to Donald Phillips and Joan Bolster.

 He later made his home in Arkansas, where he built a life centered around family, friendships, and community. Scott worked as a coordinator in property management and was known for his strong work ethic and ability to connect with others. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles, cookouts, and was especially known for his skills smoking BBQ. Scott loved bringing people together and spending time with those he cared about most.

 He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Phillips, and his stepfather, Paul Wood. 

Scott is survived by his wife, Mary “Lody” Phillips; his daughter, Madison Phillips (Malachi Pointer); his grandson, Atreus Pointer; his mother, Joan Wood; his siblings, Brian Phillips (Michelle), Lori Lindsley, Steven Phillips (Marian), Terry Wood (Heather), Ashlee Phillips, and Stevie Wood; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family

Visitation will be at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home on April 11, 2026 starting at 1:00 PM, with a service to start at 2:00 PM
