SGM (Ret.) John Brower

SGM (Ret.) John R. Brower, 83, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord May 20, 2019.  He was born on April 21, 1936 in Leary, Texas to Lewis and Nellie Brower.  SGM (Ret.) John was retired from the U.S. Army after serving twenty-six years, having served during the Vietnam era.  He also served in SHAPE in Belgium for two tours.  He started his military career with the Marines for three years and then entered the Army.

He is survived by his wife Alice Brower of Beebe, one son John Brower, twin daughters Cindy Carter and Wendy Brower, one stepson Jay Adams, one stepdaughter Elizabeth Wycoff, thirteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his infant son Jack and two daughters, Paula Brower and Teresa Hetrick.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation arrangements are by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.  www.smithfamilycares.com
