Listen to Obituary

Sharon Ann Buratowski, 68, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026 after a brief and sudden battle with cancer.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, August "Gus" Zajac. She is survived by her mother, Dolores Zajac; her husband, Edward Buratowski, her son, Greg Buratowski (Mia Buratowski); her daughter, Sara Buratowski Ivie (Cameron Ivie); her granddaughters, Ava Kate Buratowski, Ansley Buratowski, and Blakely Ivie; and her siblings Becky Scooter and Chris Zajac (Amber Zajac). She was also surrounded in love by many additional nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

For almost five decades, she worked as an occupational therapist, retiring from UAMS Kid's First in 2025. She devoted her career to helping others regain their independence, dignity and hope. She was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Above all, Sharon was a woman of deep Christian faith. A devoted member to St. Anne Catholic Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas, she expressed her love of Christ each day through prayer, service to others, and quiet acts of kindness. We know that she is now at rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren and family deeply, and we all loved her as well. We will miss our wife, mom, and Nana/Yaya Sharon every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered by her kindness, gentleness, positive spirit and commitment to her Catholic faith.
