Sharon R. Collatt, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1941, in Westfield, Massachusetts, and lived a life rooted in love for her family, her faith, and the community she served so faithfully.
Sharon was a devoted mother who took great pride in her family. She took great joy in her son, Toby, and was always present—cheering him on, supporting his interests, and offering steady encouragement throughout his life. She shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Sherman Collatt. Together, they enjoyed traveling across the United States in their fifth wheel, creating memories, sharing stories, and forming lasting friendships along the way.
Sharon was a longtime member of Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Haskell, where her faith guided her daily life. She loved the Lord deeply and lived out her faith through kindness, service, and care for others.
She had a true gift for handiwork and found joy in sewing, crocheting, and needlepoint. The afghans she lovingly made are treasured by family and friends and will continue to offer warmth and comfort for years to come.
Sharon was also deeply involved in her community. She served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Haskell Volunteer Fire Department, helping raise funds for vital equipment through the creation and sale of cookbooks. She also volunteered at the Haskell Museum, where she took pride in preserving local history and sharing it with others.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sherman Collatt of Benton, Arkansas; her son, Toby Collatt and his wife, Hollie, of Benton, Arkansas; her granddaughter, Kelsie Collatt of Hot Springs, Arkansas; nieces Michelle Watts and Lisa Collatt; great-niece Morgan Watts; great-nephews Jeremy Davis and Bradley Davis; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Collatt, and her parents, Louis Rocke and Dorothy Foley.
A visitation will be held on January 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas, 72015.
