Sharon Kay Powell

February 9, 1956 — April 20, 2022

North Little Rock

Sharon Kay Powell, 66, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away at home due to cancer on April 20, 2022. Sharon was born on February 9, 1956 in Merced, California to Marie Roberts and the late Thomas Williams.

Sharon retired in 2020 from TCPrint Solutions after a lengthy career in the printing business. Her colleagues described her as a sweet firecracker of a lady who was kind, smart, and sassy. Sharon loved to laugh. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, reading, playing Pokemon GO, and geocaching with Bill all around the state. She was a great friend, loyal partner, and proud mother.

Sharon was probably most well known for her love of bald eagles. She loved going on beach trips with Jeanne, watching the sun hit the sand and listening to the sounds of the ocean.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 22 years, Bill Powell; son Bryan DeBusk and wife Melanie of Longmont, CO; daughter Jennifer Browning and husband John of Benton; stepdaughter Nicole Carey and husband Richard of Little Rock; mother Marie Roberts of Searcy; brother Larry Williams and wife Sandy of Donora, PA; and sister Tammy Reynolds and husband Doyle of Romance. Sharon loved being Mimi to her five grandchildren: Michal, Elliot, Andi, Nicholas, and Hannah. Sharon is also survived by other extended family and dear friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Williams.

Sharon and her laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Raptor Resource Project a nonprofit whose mission includes the preservation of eagles and provides free livestream of bald eagle nests to the public.
