Sharon Ann Skinner, age 65, while resting in her home on Lake Norrell and surrounded by her loved ones, was gently embraced by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and welcomed into the Kingdom of God at 7:20 a.m. on June 19, 2013. Sharon was born on February 12, 1948 in Little Rock to parents, Robbie Wilba Sawyer and Vera Virginia Barnhart.
Sharon is survived by her spouse; Richard "Rick" Brant of Lake Norrell, 2 daughters; Tonya Michelle Fair and husband Rick of Rogers and Tracey Raneigh Johnson of Lake Norrell, her mother; Vera Virginia Sawyer of Little Rock, 1 brother; Robbie Wayne Sawyer of Lake Norrell, 1 sister; Brenda Epnett and husband Louis of Sheridan, 4 grandchildren; Tara, Chelsea, Kayla and Amber, 6 great-grandchildren; Bradyn, Amara, Skyler, Izzabelle, Jaxson and Karsyn as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends, all who loved her dearly and will miss her always.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robbie Wilba Sawyer.
Sharon was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and the Lake Norrell Association. She was the "Roving Reporter" of the Lake Norrell Newsletter, Swap and Shop creator and coordinator and longtime owner and operator of Sharon's Home Cooking, a diner in downtown Benton.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:30am at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church located in the Lake Norrell community followed by the funeral service at noon.
