Shawn Dwayne Uptain, 39, of Gravel Ridge, passed away on June 23, 2017. He was born on April 9, 1978 in Little Rock to Sharon Gubanski and Billy Uptain.
Shawn is preceded in death by his grandmother, Leveda Gubanski. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Sharon Davis and step-father, James Davis (Spanky); brother, Jessie Davis; father, Billy Uptain of Mayflower and one son, Jason Uptain of Mayflower; grandparents, Adam Gubanski of Maumelle, Howard Davis of NLR; and Janie Phillips of Searcy, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
Shawn was independent and he liked spending time with family and friends. He loved the outdoors land enjoyed fishing with his Uncle Keith.
Shawn weighed 3lbs 12oz. when he was born. His mother went into labor early while visiting friends. Shawn was delivered by the paramedics inside the U-Haul Center on Cypress Street in North Little Rock. He got the name of "Little U-Haul." He was our baby and a blessing to our family, especially his Grandma Veda and his Aunt Rhonda. He is in good hands with our Lord and Grandma Veda. They will live in our hearts forever.
A memorial visitation tribute will be held on Wednesday, June 28th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Full obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
