Sherron Stell Garner, 75, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away quietly in her sleep on June 1 and awoke in heaven. She was born on September 17, 1946 in Leakesville, Mississippi. She is predeceased by her father, James Stell and mother, Helen Warren. She is survived by daughters Stephanie Garner and Elizabeth Barnett, granddaughters Garner Barnett Schroeder and Cadence Barnett, and her husband of 55 years, Steve Garner.
Her long career as a social worker was spent working with and advocating for the mentally ill.
Her favorite pastimes were reading, growing flowers, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughters. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church Arkadelphia, the Friendship Sunday School class, and the Young at Heart Ministry, of which she was co-president.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Unity Cemetery with Lee McGlone officiating.
