Shirley Aneita Kelley

Shirley Aneita Kelley, age 76, of Alexander, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

She was born on May 31, 1945, in Portageville, Missouri, the daughter of William Boyd Anderson and Odessa Pitman Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Leonard Kelley, Jr. in 1999; her parents; five brothers, J.O. Anderson, Gerald Anderson, Robert Anderson, Cecil Anderson and Doug Anderson; and her two sisters, Vaudean Bellomy and Misha Anderson.

Shirley was a Christian and of the Assembly of God faith. She worked as a designer for Monroe Company Shoe Factory, where she retired after 42 years of service. She was a hard worker and a great mom who loved her family with all her heart and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Karie Kelley of Alexander; her daughter, Deborah Kelley of Sheridan; seven grandchildren, Colton Williams, Alex Williams, Trinity Kelley, Bryce Kelley, Karter Kelley, Kollen Kelley and Aspyn Kelley; three great-grandchildren, Remington Williams, Kayden Williams and Rowan Williams; step-grandchildren, Jessica Gobel and Andrew Gobel; two brothers, Talmage Anderson of Sheridan and William “Butch” Anderson of Georgia; one sister, Carolyn Mattoon of Lonsdale; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 13, 2022, with Bro. Jason White and Bro. Jimmy Montgomery officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, formerly known as Davis-Smith Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Gaston Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Colton Williams, Alex Williams, Andrew Gobel, Bryce Kelley, Dwayne Wells and David Campbell.
