Shirley Jean (Vernon) Haley, 78, of McRae, Arkansas passed to her reward July 13, 2017. She was born August 12, 1938 in Luxora, Arkansas to Edgar and Edith (Keck) Vernon.
Shirley was a founding member of Gracepoint Church in Beebe. She was retired from Unity Health (White County Hospital) where she was employed as Director of Environmental Services for over thirty years. She enjoyed gardening and family events when she could cook for her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Charles Haley, Sr., her parents, and seven siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Charles (Charlotte) Haley of McRae, David (Shirley) Haley of Beebe, and Diane (Tom) McCollum of McRae; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Gracepoint Church Building Fund, 3110 Hwy. 31 S., Beebe, AR 72012.
Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Gracepoint Church and hold funeral service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
