Shirley Keilty

Shirley Viola (Skinner) Keilty, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was born to Augustus and Viola Skinner on May 7, 1938, and was raised in Scott, Keo and England, Arkansas.

She moved to Little Rock after graduating High School and worked as a seamstress at the Ottenheimer factory. Soon after, she met her husband, James T. During her life with her husband, Jim, she volunteered with organizations to feed and clothe the homeless and was very charitable toward people who were in need.

Shirley was a member of Northside Pentecostal Church. She loved God, her family and her church. She was known as the "Hat Lady" at her church because of the hats she loved to wear, many of which were given to her as gifts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustus and Viola Skinner, her husband, James, her son, James Jr., her granddaughter, Katie, her sister, Lorene Poole, her brothers A. J. Skinner, and Leo Skinner and her sister Agnes Nuckles.
