Shirley Marr

Shirley Ann Pruitt Marr of Tekoa, Washington, was born November 16, 1943 in Beebe, Arkansas to Jesse and LaVelle Pruitt. The family moved to Richland, Washington when she was a toddler, where she grew up most of her life. She moved to the Seattle area when she graduated from Kiona-Benton High School in Benton City, Washington, in 1962.

Shirley was a devout Christian, whose hobbies were traveling, drawing, playing the guitar and talking about the Lord. She was very concerned for those less fortunate and would campaign for their cause even when she needed things herself. She was very loved and we will miss her.

She is preceded in death by her older brother, Max Pruitt, who died at infancy, and both of her parents.

She is survived by two children, Michelle Ann Allen of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Casey Clay Pruitt of Marysville, Washington; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Noy Pruitt of Baytown, Texas and Bob Pruitt of Buckley, Washington.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Antioch Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
