Sonny Fagan

Sonny Fagan, age 78, of Amity, died Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was born on September 9, 1934 near Amity, the son of Clarence David Fagan and Gladys Irene Godsby Fagan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cleda Runyan Fagan, on November 30, 2002; and twin infant sons, Ronny and Randy Fagan. A United States Army veteran, he was retired from the Corp of Engineers and a member of the Fellowship Reformed Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pansy Fagan of Amity; his son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Theresa Fagan of Malvern; two step-children, Danny Smead and his wife, Marie, of Daisy and Gloria Miller and her husband, Greg, of Largo, Florida; two grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Fagan; four step-grandchildren, Kevin Smead, Brian Smead, Craig Breen and Johnny Smead; four step-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Glendil Fagan of Amity. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Kevin Smead officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment with military honors will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Fagan, Dusty Skates, Hugh Lemons, Skyler Smead, Brian Smead and William Lambert.
