Harrison

Stephen Ray "Perkins" George, 58, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home, on July 7, 2024.

Steve was born on July 13, 1965 to Robert Larry George, Sr. and Betty Sue George in Little Rock, Arkansas. Steve was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and loved nothing more than watching Razorback Football and Basketball games. If there was not a game being played that day, he loved to watch older games, including games dating back to the 1970’s. He enjoyed collecting marbles and any Razorback memorabilia. Steve greatly treasured all his family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible.  Steve treasured his wife, Tonia, and enjoyed nothing more than giving her a hard time and getting the grandkids to help him do so.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Sue and Robert George Sr; his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Phillip Crone; and niece, Carolyn Highfill, all of Benton, AR; his beloved pets, Sweet Pea and Baby girl.

He is survived by his wife, Tonia W. George, and treasured dog, Little Bit, of the home; his step kids, Dustin J. Delk and Kimberly N. Akins; grandkids, T.J. Akins, Remington Akins, Joshua Akins and Wyatt Delk; brother-in-law, Johnny Montgomery and sister-in-law, Cindy Hale, all of Harrison, AR; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Gwen George; sister, Heather Spillyards; nieces and nephews, Bobby and Ashely George, Kellye and Josh Roberts, Jamie and Curtis Kerns, Jeff and Charlotte Crone, all of Benton, AR.
