Steven Evans Doerr

Steven Evans Doerr, of North Little Rock, AR, age 82, died on May 31, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis T. Doerr and his parents, Clarence A. Doerr and Mae A. Doerr, both of Memphis, Tennessee. He is survived by his uncle, Conrad Doerr of Palm Springs, California, several cousins-namely: Delores Krebs and Carol Hornung, both of St. Louis, and Barbara Gilliam of Montrose, Illinois.

He was a member of Levy United Methodist Church, where he was Church Historian, teacher of Aldersgate and Disciples Sunday School classes, member of the Finance Committee, and local Lay Speaker. He was also a member, Past Master, and Secretary of Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge #749, now affiliated with Sylvan Hills #754, Past Patron of Levy Chapter #577, Order of the Eastern Star; member and Past Treasurer of Union Chapter #1, Royal Arch Masons; Past member of the Advisory Board of Levy Assembly, Order of Rainbows for Girls. He was a recipient of the DeMolay Cross of Honor and the Rainbow Cross of Color and he also received the Pillar of Solomon Award from Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge #749. He was a graduate of UALR School of Business and formerly an employee of the Excelsior (later Peabody Little Rock Hotel) Hotel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steven’s name to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Levy United Methodist Church (701 W 47^th St) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon.
