Sue Edmonds

Carolyn “Sue” Edmonds of Maumelle died August 9, 2022.  Sue was born May 8, 1945 in Curtis, AR to the late Cecil and Helen Holloway.  She was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School.  Sue retired as office manager of TDS Erectors.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Maumelle.

Sue was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother who will be truly missed.  Her grandsons were her most valuable asset and she was so proud of them both. Whatever the circumstances, Sue was always ready at a minutes notice to get them from school, practice, or wherever they needed to be.  She took delight in watching them grow up and being a part of their daily lives.

Many friends describe her as bringing joy to everyone that she knew.  She lived her daily life walking with Christ in everything she did.  She will be deeply missed for her natural beauty inside and out and her constant offering of a kind word to all who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Edmonds; and siblings:  Johnny Holloway, Steve Holloway and Patsy Craig.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law:  Robyn and Rich Hatcher; two grandsons:  Cole Hatcher and Canton Hatcher; 2 sisters:  Charlie (Larry) Franklin and Phyllis Hancock; several nieces, nephews; and her grand-dog, Gabby.

Visitation is 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. William Jacques, Jr.  Interment and committal service, officiated by Bro. James Guthrie, is at 2:00 PM, at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Arkadelphia.

Honorary pallbearers include: James Craig, Scotty Holloway, Chandler Russell, Larry Franklin, Brad Franklin, Cole Hatcher, Canton Hatcher and Jeff Russell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Maumelle.
