Sue Rowe Fendley, age 90 of the Fendley Community, died Friday, August 19 2016. She was born in the Sodom Community in Clark County the daughter of Luther and Cora Woodall Rowe. She was a member of the Oak Grove Community Church. She and her husband operated Fendley's Dairy for many years. Sue was affectionately known as the "Country Cook", loved gardening, quilting, fishing and bluegrass festivals. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy one years, Duel Artean Fendley and a brother, Lowell Rowe.
Survivors include four sons, Roy (Jeanie) Fendley and Tad (Joanna) Fendley all of Fendley, W. L. (Darlene) Fendley and Sammy (Kathy) Fendley all of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Carolyn (Doug) Shell of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Betty Boone of Lavaca, AR and Rebecca Kilby of Hot Springs, a "Special Sissy" Fern Lambert of Amity, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, August 23rd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Mike Fendley and Bryan Fendley officiating. Burial will be in the Brushy Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
