Susan Lynne Buford

Susan Lynne Buford, 65 of Sherwood, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the loving & compassionate care of Arkansas Hospice, friends & family. After a long, hard battle with Ovarian Cancer.

She was born in 1961 in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the late Jimmy Buford & Virginia Buford. She graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1979 and attended Arkansas State University. She worked for most of her life as a graphic designer, artist & office manager in the Ad Specialty & Clothing field. Her passion was her work and affiliation with Optimist International TennArk District & Rosedale Optimist Club, of which she proudly served as Governor and other offices throughout the years. She also enjoyed traveling and rooting for her Razorbacks, Cowboys & Saints. She was also passionate about Animal Rescue and had adopted rescue dogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Buford. She is survived by her Mother, Virginia Buford; partner, Tom Akin; uncle, Carl Looney & Wife Phyllis Looney, and a multitude of cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
