Susan K. (Chudy) George, 60, of North Little Rock died Sunday, March 1, 2009 after a long hard fought battle with colon cancer. She was born February 1, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to August J. and Katherine Strozyk Chudy. She was employed at Farm Bureau Insurance Company, owner/operator of Southwest Lawnmower along with her husband, Gary, and a 1967 graduate of Mt. St. Mary?s Academy. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality and the Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband, of 37 years, Gary M. George, of North Little Rock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Cyril Kita and Pam and Bill Boehmer, all of North Little Rock; two brothers, Larry Chudy, of North Little Rock and Ronald Chudy and wife, Tami, of Mabelvale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 7006 Jasna Gora Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118 or Arkansas Children?s Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. A rosary service will be held 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
