Malvern

Susan Katherine Smith passed away peacefully in her residence on October 20, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1948, in Little Rock and spent her life spreading joy and love to those around her.

Family was of utmost importance to Susan. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Susan's warm personality radiated kindness and compassion, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.

A familiar sight in Benton, Susan could often be seen walking the streets from sun up to sun down with a cup of coffee in hand. Mornings were especially dear to her heart as she would step outside, embracing the day while savoring a steaming cup of coffee. Her love for this simple pleasure was a reflection of her appreciation for life's small joys.

Susan had a creative spirit and found solace in expressing herself through art. Crafting canvas arts and crafts brought her great fulfillment and allowed her creativity to flourish. Additionally, gardens filled with vibrant flowers brought her immense joy and tranquility. She took great pride in nurturing her garden oasis. During the holiday season, Christmas movies became an integral part of Susan's tradition, enhancing the magical atmosphere that she cherished.

As we bid farewell to Susan, we remember those who preceded her in death. She was reunited with her beloved parents, Jack and Velma Jean (Wo) Lovell, as well as her brothers James Lovell and Clifford Wright, and sister Maxine Taylor. Their memories will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Susan's legacy lives on through those she leaves behind. She is survived by her three loving daughters: Billie McCool (George) of Malvern, Arkansas; Helen Caquelin (Tony) of Prescott, Arkansas; and Christy Lovell of Prescott, Arkansas. Her grandchildren John Smith, Tiffany Lovell, Brittany Lovell, and Candace Talbert, along with her great-grandchildren Ellie Lovell, Thomas Lovell, and Sophia Sanders, were the pride and joy of her life. Susan's sister Linda Johnson (Jerry Don) of Glenwood, Arkansas, as well as several nieces and nephews, also mourn her loss. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of family members and friends who hold cherished memories of their time with Susan.

Susan Katherine Smith will always be remembered for her warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

In honoring Susan's memory, let us take a moment to reflect on the importance of family bonds and cherishing every precious moment we have with our loved ones. May we carry on her spirit of compassion and always find joy in life's simplest pleasures. Rest in peace, dear Susan.
