Susie Marie Irvin, 74, of Jacksonville died Oct. 31, 2011. She was born March 26, 1937 in Little Rock to the late James Melton Castile and Lillie Bell McCain Castile. Mrs. Irvin was a homemaker who will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family-especially her grandchildren. "Granny" as the grandchildren called her, had a huge walking stick that her son-in-law gave her, which she used to keep everyone in line.
Mrs. Irvin was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister, as well as her husband, Johnny "Buddy" Irvin. Survivors include twelve children: Linda Sutherland (David) of Jacksonville, AR, Robert Irvin (Sherrie) of Osceola, MO, Wilma Henderson (Ralph) of Jacksonville, AR, David Irvin (Amy) of Jacksonville, AR, Rita Croft of Vilonia, AR, Harold Irvin (Cinnamon) of Beebe, AR, Sandra Mayo (Steve) of Poplar Bluff, MO, Bobby Irvin (Dora) of Jacksonville, AR, Angela Prado (Joe) of League City, TX, Terri Johnson of Adamsville, TN, Wanda Elegino (Gino) of Jacksonville, FL and Ramona Maldonado (Alvin) of Jacksonville, AR; three sisters: Lois Seigrist, Mary Lewis and Rose Seigrist; two brothers: Joe Castile and Eddy Castile; 30 grandchildren, sixteen-plus great-grandchildren and her four-legged companions: Darla, Puggy, Blister and Fallon.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home with Brothers Steve Mayo and Melborne Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Robert, David, Harold & Bobby Irvin, David Sutherland and Luis Ortega.
