Sylvia Hagood, 69, died Friday May 11, 2007. Born September 13, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Thressa and the late J.C. Sauerbrunn, she dedicated her life to serving others in a variety of professional and personal endeavors. Graduating from St. Paul?s nursing school in 1957, Sylvia touched thousands of lives in the healing of both body and spirit and late in life became a lay chaplain at St. Margaret?s.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband Robert Hagood, Jr. She is survived by her mother Thressa, son John Douglas and his wife Ellen, son Robert Earle and his wife Susan, grandchildren Darcy Rose and Jackson David, sisters Diane and spouse Don, Carol and spouse Gene, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at St. Margaret?s Episcopal Church in Little Rock with interment at the St. Margaret?s columbarium. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Margaret?s Memorial Fund 20900 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, 72223.
