Tanya Montgomery, 39, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014. Tanya was born November 9, 1974 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked at Captain D's in Little Rock and loved fishing.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Smith of North Little Rock; two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Zajac of North Little Rock; three sisters, Sharon, Becky, Karen Shelton all of Phoenix, Arizona; fiancé, Bryan Wages of Maumelle; and her dog, Maggie Mae.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Shelton, Jr.; grandparents, Fred and Mildred Shelton; aunt, Wanda Downey; and brother, James Zajac.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maumelle Animal Shelter, 425 Hyman Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas 72113.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online obituary and guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
