Tareesa Ann Teixeira

Listen to Obituary

Tareesa Teixeira, 64, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2026, after facing Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) with strength and grace. Born on April 7, 1962, in Little Rock, she lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family and friends.

Tareesa grew up in Little Rock and carried the values instilled by her parents, Bud and Pat Latson, throughout her life. Her faith in Jesus inspired her to pursue higher education at Christ for the Nations Institute (CFNI) in Dallas, Texas. She loved to travel, exploring much of Europe and spending a memorable year living in Australia.

A creative soul, Tareesa found joy in reading, crafting, art projects, movies, virtual reality experiences, road trips, music, and thrifting. She had a special talent for planning activities that brought happiness to children during family visits and sleepovers at "Aunt Tareesa's". Her home was often filled with laughter and cherished memories created with those she loved.

Tareesa's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her son Solomon Teixeira; her sister Vaneesa Oldham; her nieces Natasha Pumphrey (and honorary grandchildren Kalina and Zelaya) and Anatasia Iglesias (Juan) (and honorary grandchildren Eliana and Stellan). She also leaves behind loved extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the moments they shared with her.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents Bud and Pat Latson as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles who played significant roles in shaping the woman she became.

Tareesa will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted mother, aunt, daughter, sister, and friend. Her kindness, creativity, and joyful devotion to family touched the lives of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn her passing.
