Teresa Jones

Teresa Mildred Jones, 98, of McRae, Arkansas, passed away on September 5, 2023.  She was born on May 5, 1925, in Conway, AR to William Duncan Brown and Ida Spooner Brown.  Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob Jones; siblings Peggy Brown, Gertrude Burnett, Helen Wasson, Irvin Brown, Eugene Brown, Tony Brown, Emelene Glover, Irene Suitt; and first husband Walter Smith.

She is survived by sisters Barbara Terry (DeWayne) of Dermont, AR, and Patsy Ernest of Star City, AR; her children, Ann Hale of Visalia, CA, Mike Jones (Joy) of McRae, AR, Janet Mayfield (David) of White Hall, AR, Greg Jones (Mary) of Beebe, AR, and Eric Scott Jones (Angie) of Cabot, AR; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Known as “Ma or “TT”, Teresa was a homemaker who made everyone who entered her doors feel welcomed and loved. She had a great sense of humor and a ready smile.  She delighted in being with her family and was extremely active in her grandchildren’s lives.

Her life will be celebrated at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., in Beebe, AR on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, service will be at 11:00 am, and interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in McRae, AR, where she will be laid to rest by her husband, Bob Jones.  www.smithfamilycares.com
