Terrell "Wayne" Fant

Terrell “Wayne” Fant, age 54, of Kirby, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at his home/

He was born on January 14, 1967, in Murfreesboro to Jerry Wayne Fant and Barbara Ann Pennington Carter. He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Glen Fant and Brad Fant; and one sister, Jenniffer Carter.

Wayne was a logger most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was a member of the Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church. Wayne will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry Fant of Daisy, Michael Fant of Glenwood, and Zachary and Whitney Fant of Texarkana; the mother of his children, Wendy Price; his grandchildren, Abby, Jeffery, Emily, Keegan, Nebula, Gunner, Paisley, Hunter, Annalee, and Novalee; his three “bonus” grandchildren, Kamarrie, Kaden, and Bella; his mother and step-father, Barbara and James Carter of Glenwood; his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie and Cecil Ward of Amity, Gala and Mark Morris of Norman, and Becky and Kenny Francis of Kirby; his two brothers and one sister-in- law, Carles and Bridgett Fant of Bonnerdale, and James Carter, Jr. of Glenwood; four very special friends, Joe York, Mark Crow, Mike Whisenhunt, and Burl Adams; nieces, nephews, extended family members and many good friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mount Joy Cemetery with Bro. Brian Hill officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
