Terry Lee Ault, age 54, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on October 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Though his time here was filled with challenges, Terry faced his journey with strength, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, and countless memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He shared 11 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Stephanie Ault, who stood beside him through life's joys and challenges. His family was one of his greatest blessings, and he cherished every moment spent with the people he loved.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Ault; his children, Dylan, Kellie, Melanie, Tyler, Cody & Brittani; his grandchildren, Payton, Kynlee, Ayden, Roman, Kellen, and Steele; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Hughes; his sisters, Ronda Sullivan and Sandy Holcomb; and his brothers, Donnie Ault and Frankie Goforth. He also leaves behind his best bud, Zeus, who held a special place in his heart, along with his bonus parents, his beloved “mother in love,” Lori, and his father-in-law, Patrick Drake.
Terry was a member of The Ridge Assembly in Sherwood, Arkansas, where his faith and church family were an important part of his life. He loved his church, his pastors, and the friendships and fellowship that came with being part of his church community.
In his recent years, Terry also embarked on an exciting business endeavor alongside his best friend, Frederick Woods, and Latoya Woods, his beloved “brother from another mother” and “sister from another mister.” Together, they shared a vision through Elite Motorsports and Auto Complex, a venture that reflected Terry’s lifelong passion for cars and the automotive world. More than business partners, Frederick and Latoya were family to Terry, and the love and bond they shared meant so much to him. He dearly loved them both, and the memories they created together will forever remain a cherished part of his legacy.
If you knew Terry, you knew he loved life and knew how to make the most of it. He had a passion for cars and car shows, fishing, camping, and grilling. He loved gathering with family and friends, being the life of the party, sharing a laugh, and making memories wherever he went. Terry had a heart for people and a way of making those around him feel welcome. He believed in supporting the people he came in contact with and leaving a little kindness wherever life took him.
Terry's life was about more than the things he enjoyed; it was about the people he loved and the lives he touched. His humor, generous spirit, strong heart, and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. The memories he created will continue to bring smiles through the tears, and his legacy will live on through the generations of family he leaves behind.
After fighting so bravely for so long, Terry has finally won his battle with pancreatic cancer. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended. As his loved ones say with both sorrow and a smile, he has gone from selling cars to selling clouds to angels.
Terry may no longer be here with us, but his spirit will live on in every story told, every family gathering, every car show, every fishing trip, every laugh shared, and every life he touched. His place in this world can never be filled, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing and loving him.
Rest peacefully, Terry. Your race is finished, your battle is won, and your memory will live in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, may you ride those heavenly roads, fish those peaceful waters, and watch over the family and friends who love you so much.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2026, at The Ridge Assembly in Sherwood. Cremation arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com
