Terry A. Dunson

Terry A. Dunson, age 76, of Langley, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

He was born on July 14, 1947, in Hot Springs, the son of Claude Dunson and Alice Rainwater Dunson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry was a member of the Langley Methodist Church. He took the verse ‘love thy neighbor’ to heart as he treated everyone with so much kindness. He always respected his elders. Everyone that knew Terry knew that he loved to work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Arlene Dunson; his daughter and her husband, Theresa and Dan Kern of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his son and his wife, John and Susan Dunson of Anchor Point, Alaska; his granddaughter, Dana; his two step-grandsons, Marshall and Stewart; his eight great-grandchildren, Malachi, Micah, Eli, Rowan, Calan, Poppy, Malachi, and Jerome; his sister-in-law and her husband, Terry and Lynn Fisher of Hot Springs; and many special cousins and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Langley Hall Church with Bro. Scott Vaughn officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943. 

Interment will be in the Langley Hall Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Vaughn, Derek Vaughn, Alex Vaughn, Bill Farhney, Jordan Cowart, and Bobby Wayne Pinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Beavers. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Elite Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Terry’s name to Elite Hospice, 602 DeQueen St, Mena, AR 71953.
