Thad "Buddy" Godwin Jr.

Thaddeus "Buddy" E. Godwin Jr., was born in Warren, Arkansas, on November 1, 1951 and went to be with God on May 24, 2025.

He was a graduate from Catholic High and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas. He started his career with Swift & Company in Little Rock as a meat-cutter and worked his way up to plant manager in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He started his own business, Food Service Dealers' Associates, in 1979 and was the CEO and operations manager for 45 years. He appreciated and loved doing business with all his customers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Marie Godwin, and a sister, Kathleen Godwin Shurgar. He is survived by a sister, Jeanie Wilson (Ben Evans), and a brother-in-law Robert Shurgar. He was Uncle Buddy to his nieces and nephews, Carey Sellers, Sarah Whitbeck (Deke), Jennifer Kuhn (Chase), and Olivia Kuhn (Brandon); grandnieces and grandnephews, Hayden Wickliffe, Turner Wickliffe, Emory Sellers, Allie Kuhn, Bay Kuhn, Millie "Hollywood" Kuhn, Ava Kuhn, Cate Whitbeck, and Charley Whitbeck. He will be greatly missed but always in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Little Rock Catholic High.
