Thelda Emogene Sanders

Thelda Emogene Sanders of North Little Rock went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Thelda was born August 1, 1937 and raised in Marshall, AR.  She was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church.  She loved the Lord and sang in a gospel group for several years and also enjoyed  playing the piano and guitar.  She was an accomplished hair dresser for 36 years and loved her work.  She also loved working in her flower beds and had a green thumb and could grow anything just from a root.  

Her favorite state to visit was Colorado.  She loved the mountains and streams and especially the snow!  She always loved children and cherished her grandkids and great-grandkids.  

Thelda is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Alta Glenn, and a sister, Mavis Johns.  She is survived by: a brother, Johnny Wayne Glenn; a sister, Shorty Beavers;  her loving husband of 71 years, who was the love of her life and the strength behind her life's journey; 3 sons: Charles (Debbie), Troy Lynn (Vicki), Larry; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, officiated by Terry Newman, will begin at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 23, 2025 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Marshall Memorial Gardens, Marshall, Arkansas. Pallbearers include:  Mehki Baucum, Cody Sanders, Logan Glenn, Matthew Glen, Eric Estes and Justin Taylor.
