Pauline Chase

Pauline Chase, age 95, of Pearcy, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

She was born November 4, 1927, the daughter of Garland and Macie Caver Connelly.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 77 years, William (Bill) Chase; her son, Larry Chase; and her brother, Dennis Connelly.

Pauline retired from the United States Postal Service with 25 years of service as a Rural Letter Carrier.  She was a Christian and charter member of Pearcy Baptist Church.  One of her greatest joys in life was being a witness of her faith.  She was a past Sunday School teacher for 41 years and active in WMU.  Pauline’s greatest claim to fame was cooking for family and friends.  With her camera in hand, she was enthusiastically capturing her memories.  If one were to reflect on the life of Pauline, her affectionate, kind and loving ways would come to mind.  Her constant faith was her inspiration to live by and the warmth and devotion she shared will be treasured through the years by her family.  Cooking for others was her reward.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Hall; her daughter-in-law, Linda Chase; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Chase (Angela), Melissa Looper White (Benji) and Leah Upchurch (Adam); six great-grandchildren, Jesse Chase, Emma Reilly, Jake Chase, Anna Reilly, Macy White and Josh Hill; one brother-in-law, Odell Chase (Kathryn); one sister, Bernice Livers; family friend, Robert Donathan, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, with Tony Caver and Bro. Phillip Millard officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Oma Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00PM-2:00PM, prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Jesse Chase, Jake Chase, Josh Hill, Benji White, Scott Connelly, Jeff Kilby, Jerel White and Danny Chase.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Pearcy Baptist Church, 5985 Airport Road, Pearcy, AR  71964.
