Thomas Scott Craig

August 22, 1944 — August 20, 2022

Bryant

Thomas “Scott” Craig, 77, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away August 20, 2022.  He was born August 22, 1944 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Thomas Ralph and Florence (Phillips) Craig.

Scott was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Bryant.   He proudly served in the United States Army from 1964-1967.  After serving in the military, Scott obtained his Associates degree and began working as an electronic technician.  He was military disciplined, yet still maintained a great sense of humor. Scott spent many hours working in his yard as he was obsessed in making his lawn beautiful and perfectly manicured.  He loved history, was fastidious in researching his ancestry, and collected many family records.  Scott was an avid Razorback fan.  He also looked forward to meeting with his Bryant High School classmates at their get-togethers.  Scott was a loving father and husband, and very much looked forward to joining his wife again in heaven.

Preceding Scott in death are his wife of almost 40 years, Gail Whitfield Craig; parents, Thomas and Florence Craig; and siblings:  Phillips Ralph Craig (Annette), Lytle Hickerson Craig, Barbara Joyce James (Charles), and Judith Mae McClendon (James).

Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters:  Leigh Ann Craig and Rae Lynn Craig, both of Little Rock; sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Hollowoa (Roy) of Benton, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Karen Craig of DeLand, Florida; and many family members and friends who love Scott and will miss him always.

Graveside service was held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, August 25, at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 10200 AR-Highway 5 in Alexander, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Salvation Army at https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/.

Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.  Online guestbook:  www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
