     It is with deep sorrow that the family of Thomas Eugene (Gene) Johnson, age 90, of Cabot, Arkansas, announces his passing at the age of 90 on November 18th, 2025. Gene was born in Earle, Arkansas to the late Earl and Maybell Coleman Johnson.

     Gene graduated from West Memphis High School in 1953. He served in the US Army for four years. After his service, Gene worked as a meat cutter for many years in West Memphis, Carlisle, Lonoke, and Cabot, Arkansas.

     He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Cabot, Arkansas, enjoyed buying, restoring and selling cargo trailers. He considered this his mission field as he shared the gospel with everyone he met.

     Gene is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eunice Dickson of Camden, Arkansas, and a brother, Preston Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas.

     A memorial service remembering Gene will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Cabot, 204 N. Third St., Cabot, Arkansas. Please sign our online guest register.
