Thomas Eugene Hunt, a devoted husband, father, Poppy, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. His life was a testament to love, hard work, and unwavering faith.
Tom faithfully served as a deacon and choir member at Levy Baptist Church in North Little Rock. He was known for his servant’s heart, steady leadership, and deep commitment to his church family. A godly man in every sense, he lived his faith daily offering encouragement, lending a helping hand, and leading by quiet, humble example.
Above all, Tom loved his family. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for them and took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness. His strength, wisdom, and gentle guidance shaped the lives of those he loved most.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rozel Hunt, father Thomas Hunt, stepmother Othell Hunt and brother Donald Hunt.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Kay Hunt, who stood faithfully by his side in a marriage grounded in faith and devotion. He is also survived by his sisters MaryJo Lawless, Judy Earley (Don) and daughter, Renee Shepard (Steve), his son, Greg Hunt (Kimberli), and his daughter, Melanie Watts (Robb). He was a proud grandfather to Tanner Shepard (Shayna), Shelby Watts, and Addi Watts, and a cherished great-grandfather to Kiayah Richey, Elias Shepard, and Savannah Milam.
Tom will be remembered as a hardworking man who put others before himself, a faithful deacon who loved the Lord, and a family man whose greatest joy was spending time with those he cherished. His steady presence, kind spirit, and enduring faith leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, but we rest in the assurance that he is in Heaven, whole and at peace in the presence of his Savior. His life was well lived, his faith was strong, and his love will endure forever.
