Thomas “Wayne” Woodall was born January 17, 1935 in Ft. Worth, TX to Butler and Belle Woodall. He passed away on April 21, 2024 at age 89. He married his sweetheart Sandra Cason on March 6, 1954 at the Love County Courthouse in Marietta, Oklahoma. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary which was attended by their family. He moved his family from Ft. Worth, TX to Bismarck, AR in 1964. He said many times that was the second-best decision he ever made. (Marrying Sandra was the first)
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth Woodall. He is the father of Gary (Beverly) Woodall of Hot Springs and David (Karen) Woodall of Bismarck. His grandchildren include Clay Woodall and Kristan (Daniel) Bodling of Oklahoma City, OK and Jill (Shawn) Reynolds of Arkadelphia. Great-grandchildren are Sabrina (Preston) Woodall, Clint Bolding, Dirk and Dylan Woodall, and Hunter Francis. Wayne also has a sister, JoAnn (Johnny) Gates of Ft. Worth, TX and numerous nieces and nephew.
In his early years he was in the insurance business. He then developed a passion for real estate and land development. Wayne and Sandra both founded Woodall Real Estate in Bismarck in 1970 and retired in 2020.
Wayne loved being on his tractor, bulldozer, mower, or side by side. He loved mowing his yard and took great pride in it and the garden he grew each year.
Wayne proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Elks Lodge, Caddo Creek Golf course and the Bismarck Coffee Club where he has made many great friends over the years.
The family wants to express a special thank you to Arkansas Hospice and his caregivers.
Pallbearers: Clay Woodall, Clint Bolding, Shawn Reynolds, Hunter Francis, Preston Jacks, Mark Hughes and Jimmy Rodger.
Honorary pallbearers are Dirk and Dylan Woodall.
Service led by Daniel Bolding.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at 11:00am at Smith Family Funeral Home – Hot Springs. Visitation will be at the same location prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery (Glenwood) following the service with military honors.
