Thomas Ferdinand Younts

Thomas Ferdinand Younts, aged 87, passed away on March 28, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on February 2, 1937, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to William C. Younts and Helen E. Younts. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Halter, his brothers Bob Younts and Bill Younts, and Sue Younts.

When Tom was a young man, he excelled as a boxer, competing across the south and accumulating a record of 34-2. He also served his country proudly in the Army National Guard.  After his service he became an esteemed businessman; he was an owner and operator of a St. Louis Ford dealership, followed by his own franchise known as Baseline Motors.

Tom's greatest passion was his family, which he demonstrated through his many acts of kindness. He was also an avid fan of horse racing, as he had a yearly box at Oaklawn casino that his family and friends would attend with him on numerous occasions. He was known for his quick wit, lively personality, and compassionate spirit.

He is survived by his older brother, Jimmy Younts (Delois Younts); his daughter Rhonda Groves, Michael Groves; his grand children Michelle, Taylor, and Thomas Groves (Regan Mulrooney); his great-grandchild Brody Griffin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements will be made at a later date for family and friends to reminisce and honor the life of Thomas Younts. He is missed deeply.
