Tina Dougherty, 56, of Marion, Ark., died April 23 in a Memphis, Tenn., hospital.
She was born Tina Marlene Albert on Jan. 24, 1966, in North Little Rock to Jack and Diana Lee Jones Albert of Little Rock. She grew up in Little Rock and Bryant, and was a 1984 graduate of Bryant High School.
Tina graduated from what was then Baptist School of Nursing in 1987. She spent more than 30 years as an emergency department nurse, working at Baptist Health Medical Center, Arkansas Heart Hospital, where she helped open the emergency room, and UAMS, all in Little Rock, and Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
She loved music, the sun and beach, fishing, basketball, and baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She played piano when she was younger.
Tina and Robert Andrew Dougherty were married Sept. 29, 2012, in Alexander, Ark.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Alexander; her grandmother, Nettie Marie Hicks Jones of Alexander; her son, Zachary Ross and wife Kassy of Salem, Ark.; her daughter, Jessica Ross Simonson and husband Micah of Norfolk, Va.; her brother, Jon Andrew Albert, and wife Allison of Bauxite, Ark.; and six grandchildren: Abel Joseph Gilliam, Maximus Albert Ross, Theodore Thomas Simonson, Jaxon Alan Ross, Gabriella Oza Simonson and Isabella Marie Simonson.
