Tom Wright Jr. age 82 of Alexander, formerly of Arkadelphia, died Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born August 12, 1928 in Clark Co., the son of Thomas and Cora Bennett Wright. He was a retired grounds keeper for the Arkadelphia Country Club and Henderson State University and was a member of New Life Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Matilda Stewart Wright, a son, Stewart Wright of Bryant, one daughter, Dedra Angel of Alexander, and 2 grandchildren, Kit Wayne Carson and Misty Hill.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
