Tommy Welch

Tommy Welch, age 80, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

He was born on February 22, 1941, near Kirby, the son of James Thomas Welch and Otha Pearl Dunlap Welch. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Curtis Welch and Larry Welch; his sister, Emiloye “Emily” Welch; and two nephews, Danny Welch and an infant, Keith Allen Welch.

A retired butcher and logger, Tommy loved spending time with his family, discussing the scriptures, hunting and reminiscing about the “good old days.” He was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Sheryl Reid Horn Welch of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Cassie Horn of Amity; three grandchildren, Caleb, Austin and Lacey Horn; two great-grandchildren, Jaylee and Christian Horn; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Alvarene Welch of Dierks; his sister and brother-in-law, LouAnn and Clarence “Boogie” Huddleston of Dierks; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 17, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Gary Welch and Bro. Josh Welch officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Lodi Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Welch, Ron Parker, James Brandon Welch, Boggie Huddleston, Robert Huddleston and Richard Huddleston.
