Toney W. Diemer Sr., age 92 of Little Rock, passed away on April 19, 2013 at St. Andrews Nursing Home in Conway, Arkansas. He was born on November 11, 1920 in Sweet Home, Arkansas; he was the son of Samuel R. Diemer and Nettie Woodall Diemer.
Toney was a self-employed grocer for over 30 years. He was a member of the Coast Artillery Arkansas National Guard 206 and was a World War II veteran who served in the Battle of Dutch Harbor and the European Theatre. He enjoyed hunting quail, crappie fishing, and playing spades.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Baker Diemer, one son, Tony W. Diemer Jr., two daughters, Barbara Moring (Jim) of Conway, Arkansas, Patti Smith (Eli) of Gilbert, South Carolina, one grand daughter, Michelle Diemer Labor, four grand sons, Shane Montgomery, Chris Diemer (Vicky), Ben Smith (Kea), Brad Smith, two great grand daughters, Lenee' Montgomery Curtis (Sid), Emily Smith, one great grand son, Jeremey Montgomery, and one great, great grand daughter, Sydney Curtis and one brother Thad Diemer.
Graveside services will be held at Noon on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery at 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Sunday April 21, 2013 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Huson Funeral Home at 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice.
