Tony Brockinton

Tony Lee Brockinton, 68, of Sherwood, Arkansas, was born on August 8, 1956, in Little Rock to Edna and Leroy Brockinton. He passed away on the night of May 1st, 2025. Tony was one of a kind. He was the kind of man who knew how to fix just about anything, who could spot a good deal from a mile away, and who felt most at peace with a fishing pole in hand or walking the land he loved so much. He built a successful used car business through grit and pure determination, but if you knew him, you knew it was never just about the money. It was about building something real.

He was stubborn in the best way, a man of strong will and an unshakable mind. Once Tony set his sights on something, there was no talking him out of it. He followed through, no matter how hard or how long it took. That determination showed up in every part of his life, from business to family to the way he took care of the land.

In September of 2024, Tony retired and fulfilled a lifelong dream—moving to his mountain in St. Paul, Arkansas. It wasn’t just property to him. It was sacred ground. He was excited to spend the rest of his days caring for it, protecting it, and simply being in it. That land brought him peace.

Tony had a deep respect for the natural world and a strong connection to Native American history. He believed the land and everything on it deserved to be cared for. He found joy in watching deer move through the trees and in listening to the sounds of nature most people overlook. Whether it was a hawk circling overhead or a bear passing quietly through the woods, he noticed it all. Wildlife wasn’t just something he appreciated, it was part of who he was.

He loved his family fiercely. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry Brockinton; his daughters, Kellyn Kennerly (Dalton Kennerly), Shelby Huffstickler, and Megan Huffstickler (Zach Bushman); his son, Jordan Brockinton; and his grandchildren, Sylas Cunningham and Hunter McIntier. He’s now reunited with his son Joshua Brockinton and his parents, Edna and Leroy Brockinton.

He was tough, loyal, and full of heart. Tony will be missed deeply and remembered always. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 6PM, with the Memorial service beginning at 7PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home located at 1921 Main St, NLR, AR, 72114.
