Travis William "Bill" Pendergrass, Sr., age 92, of Romance, Arkansas passed away May 21, 2017. He was born in Hollister, California to Travis and Verna (Sweeny) Pendergrass on March 30, 1925.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during WWII. He married Billie Williams in 1948 and they created a beautiful life in California. After retirement, Bill and Billie moved to Romance, Arkansas and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the country life. Bill had a small shop in the back yard that he spent many happy hours "just piddling in" and back in the day of ham radio, he was affectionately known as "Big Red".
Bill is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Billie Pendergrass; children, Pat Macfadyen of Romance, Arkansas, Travis William Pendergrass, Jr. and wife Susan of Eugene, Oregon, Robert Pendergrass and wife Sheila of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cheryl Pendergrass of Costa Mesa, California and John Robin "Jack"
Pendergrass of Modesto, California; sixteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and another great grandchild due any day, and two great great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Howard Leo James.
