Tressia Lonetta Lock

Tressia Lonetta Lock went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 91.

Lonetta is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lock; her only son, Michael Lock; her son-in-law, George Howell; her five brothers; and her three sisters.

On April 25, 1954, Lonetta married James, and they had a long and happy marriage where Nanny was treated like a queen. Together, they had three children: Debbie Howell, Michael Lock, and Lori White. They also had three grandchildren, Kinzie Bour (Randy), Nathan Howell (Casey), and Sara Branch (Travis); and five great-grandchildren, Gunner Bour, Aden Henderson, Ansley Branch, Avery Howell, and Rhett Howell. Her sister, Christine Herron, and many nieces and nephews.

Lonetta worked part-time at the Glenwood Public Library for several years, but most of her years, she was a devoted housewife, mother, and sweet nanny to her grandchildren.

Lonetta was so strong in her faith, most every conversation with her always ended with "you know I love you and so does Jesus," and most anytime she was sitting still, she was singing praises to him. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

Nanny will be missed by all that knew and loved her. A special thanks to Dougan's Oak Park for their love for Nanny and Nightingale at Glenwood Nursing Home for their amazing care for our sweet Nanny right to the end.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to services on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.

Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matt Ledbetter, Lex Ledbetter, Nathan Howell, Mike Wilson, Billy Lock, and Ben Lock.
