Troy Skinner

Troy Stephan “Wildman” Skinner passed away August 26, 2026, at Arkansas Heart Hospital, in Little Rock, AR. Troy was born August 4, 1973, in Auckland, New Zealand to Terrence John Skinner and Karen Louise Workman. He is lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate of 16 years, Elizabeth Ann Skinner, to whom he was married for 11 years; his children, Madilein Daly of New Zealand, Wilder Skinner, Donavan (Shelby) Coley, Morgan (Devin) Roush, and Camran (Savanah) Coley, all of the United States; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Ezra and Thea Roush. He recently became Grandad again to our family foster daughters of Donavan and Shelby; Madison, Tamaya, Bailey, and Julianna.

Troy is also survived by four brothers, Marcel Le Gros, Andrew Skinner, Jon Skinner, and Robert Skinner, and two very special brothers Graham (Nancy) Sparrow and Vladimir (Maryna) Romchuk. He had a host of aunts, uncles, and cuzzies that he adored and always had a special story about.

Troy spent the last nine years making good friends while working at Thompson Transportation and the years preceding that at Stallion Transportation Group chasing his trucking buddies around America’s Highways as a paid tourist. Troy had a contagious energy, humor, and passion for “LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST”, inspiring others to do just that, making every second count.

Troy set the bar so high, he talked crap about everyone that couldn’t hitch a leg over.

Music and his Indian Roadmaster motorcycle were his true passions in life (well besides his wife Elizabeth who held a first place tie with Graham Sparrow). Troy and Elizabeth spent the last almost two decades going to every rock concert they could find, and any chance to have an adventure or experience together dragging anyone along with them that were up to keeping up.

Troy enjoyed sharing his faith with others, finding the beauty of creation in all of his journeys. He loved the Lord, he loved his family and friends, and he loved any opportunity to help or show up in any way that he could.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Arkansas Heart Hospital for their above and beyond care, and specifically Dr. Kristofer Freeland that stood tall and resilient for almost 13 hours trying to save the biggest heart that we all know.

Visitation for Troy will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, and Celebration of Life will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2026, also at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Troy will be cremated following the Celebration of Life. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com
